Choose the help that fits
Some people want a lawyer to take the whole thing off their hands. Others want one set of documents checked before they sign. Both are legitimate, and both are here.
Every service below is provided or supervised by a lawyer licensed in Ontario, and you will always have a written quote before any work starts.
Divorce
Most divorces in Ontario are uncontested: both people agree, and what is left is paperwork and patience. We can take all of that off your hands, or just the part you would rather not do alone.
Full-Service Divorce
$2,200We handle your divorce from beginning to end - preparing the application, filing it with the court, dealing with what comes back, and sending you the final order.
Best if you and your spouse agree and you would rather not deal with the court yourself.
What it includes
- Preparing your application and every supporting form
- Filing with the Superior Court of Justice
- Responding to court requirements on your behalf
- Your divorce order and certificate of divorce
Divorce Forms Preparation
From $650We prepare the right forms, correctly completed from your information, and give you written instructions for filing them yourself.
Best if you are comfortable dealing with the court and want to keep the cost down.
What it includes
- The correct forms for your circumstances
- Completed and checked by our team
- Step-by-step filing instructions
- Answers to your questions about the paperwork
This is a limited-scope service. We prepare the documents; the filing and any court attendance remain yours.

$500You have documents already - drafted yourself, or sent to you by someone else - and you want a lawyer to check them before you sign or file.
Best if something is already written and you need to know whether it is right.
What it includes
- A careful read of everything you send us
- Written comments on anything wrong, missing or unclear
- A short call to talk through what we found
Initial Divorce Consultation
$250A focused conversation about your situation: what your options are, how the process actually works, and what it is likely to cost.
Best if you are at the beginning and not sure what you need.
What it includes
- Review of your circumstances before we speak
- A plain explanation of your options
- Realistic guidance on timing and cost
- No obligation to continue
Family Agreements
A family agreement records what you and your partner have decided, so it does not come down to memory or goodwill later. In Ontario these agreements need to be in writing, signed and witnessed, and each person is normally expected to get their own legal advice before signing.
Separation Agreement
$900A written agreement settling property, support and parenting arrangements after a relationship ends, so both of you know exactly where you stand.
Best if you have separated and want the arrangements recorded properly.
What it includes
- Drafting that reflects what you have actually agreed
- Property division and support terms
- Parenting arrangements where there are children
- Guidance on signing and witnessing correctly
Cohabitation Agreement
From $900For couples living together without marrying. Sets out what happens to property, debts and support if the relationship ends.
Best if you are about to move in together, or already have.
What it includes
- What each of you brought into the relationship
- How property and debts will be treated
- Whether support would be payable
- A clause converting it if you later marry
Marriage Contract / Prenuptial
From $1,500Signed before or during a marriage. Records how property and support will be handled so neither of you has to guess later.
Best in the months before a wedding, or when your circumstances change.
What it includes
- Property brought into the marriage
- How growth in value will be treated
- Support terms
- Financial disclosure both ways
Give this time. An agreement signed days before a wedding is easier to challenge later.
Start this requestPostnuptial Agreement
From $1,500The same protections as a marriage contract, entered into after you are already married.
Best if circumstances have changed - a business, an inheritance, a property.
What it includes
- Property and support terms
- Full financial disclosure both ways
- Drafting that reflects your current situation
Review of an Existing Agreement
$750Someone has asked you to sign an agreement. We read it, explain in plain language what it actually commits you to, and tell you what we would change.
Best if you have been handed something to sign and want advice before you do.
What it includes
- A careful read of the whole document
- Plain-language explanation of each obligation
- What we would negotiate or remove
- A certificate of independent legal advice where required
Most family agreements expect each person to get their own independent legal advice. Without it, an agreement is easier to set aside later.

Wills & Powers of Attorney
Three documents cover most people: a will, a power of attorney for property, and a power of attorney for personal care. Without them, decisions about your money, your health and your children fall to a process you did not choose.
Will Drafting
From $600A properly drafted will setting out who inherits, who administers your estate, and who cares for your children.
Best if you have no will, or your last one no longer reflects your life.
What it includes
- Who receives what, and what happens if they do not survive you
- Your executor and a backup
- Guardians for children under 18
- Instructions for signing and witnessing correctly
Will Review
From $500You already have a will. We check that it still does what you want, still works, and has not been quietly undone by a change in your circumstances.
Best after a marriage, separation, birth, death or move to Ontario.
What it includes
- A read of your existing will
- What no longer matches your situation
- Whether an update or a new will is needed
Power of Attorney for Property
From $400Names someone you trust to deal with your finances and property if you become unable to.
Best for every adult, not only older adults.
What it includes
- Your attorney and a substitute
- When the authority begins
- Any limits you want to place on it
Power of Attorney for Personal Care
From $400Names someone to make decisions about your health, housing and personal care if you cannot make them yourself.
Best prepared at the same time as your will.
What it includes
- Your attorney for personal care and a substitute
- Any wishes or instructions you want recorded
Will + POA Package
From $900All three documents prepared together in one process. This is what most people need, and it costs less than doing them separately.
Best if you are starting from nothing.
What it includes
- Your will
- Power of attorney for property
- Power of attorney for personal care
- One consultation covering all three
Legal Consultation
Sometimes the useful thing is a straight conversation with someone who does this every day. You will get an honest view of your options, including the option of not hiring us.
Initial Legal Consultation
$250A scheduled conversation with a lawyer about your circumstances, your options and what each one would involve.
Best if you want advice before committing to anything.

- Tell us what is happening, in plain language
- We identify the service that fits
- A clear recommendation and a quote
- No cost and no obligation
